Carmenta Server makes it easy to build sophisticated web-based mapping applications. It is also perfectly suited to empower location based services (LBS).
With Carmenta Server, you can combine virtually any type of background map with dynamic data such as facility locations, vehicle positions or traffic information to create an informative map display, complete with useful services such as routing and geocoding.
To ensure maximum interoperability, Carmenta Server is a fully compliant OGC WMS server.
Carmenta Server is based on Carmenta Engine, Carmenta’s well-established geospatial platform which has been used in demanding operational GIS applications for a number of years.
The flexibility of Carmenta Server enables it to be used for a variety of different purposes:
- Create highly interactive web-based maps and integrate them into your web site.
- Build feature-rich web-based geospatial applications such as fleet management systems.
- Provide maps and geospatial calculations in SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) based systems.
- Provide maps for mobile devices using platforms such as Java 2, Micro Edition (J2ME), and the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework.
- Provide maps for your existing GIS systems via the OGC WMS interface.
